This LibGuide is intended as a review/recap/summary of B.J.(Barbara) Sedlock's part of the "Library Research" presentation, given in conjunction with jay Dixon and Sarah Mallory, at the 4th North American Historical Novel Society Conference in San Diego, June 19, 2011. Historical novelists who were not able to attend the session may find some interesting links in this LibGuide that will help in their research.

"Directories" lists web sites that function as directories of digital primary source material.
"Search Engines" tab describes how to use Google and other web search sites to find digitized documents held by libraries and other cultural institutions.

"Links not used in HNS Conference presentation" lists other interesting websites that I did not have time to show conference attendees.
