Importance of Evaluation

It's extremely important to carefully evaluate current event information resources for two main reasons:

  1. Sometimes, in the rush of trying to break the story first, news reporters don't check their facts as carefully as they should.
  2. Many of these issues are especially subject to bias and heated debate.

    Find articles from US and international newspapers.
  • New York Times
    Read and search the majority of the articles published from June 1, 1980 to today.
  • TOPICsearch  
      
    Find articles on social, political and economic issues, scientific discoveries and other current events.
  • Wall Street Journal  
      
    Search and read the Wall Street Journal from 1984 to today.
