Get your wireless on

Current students, faculty, and staff can use the College's wireless network. The wireless signal is available on both floors of the Library. Download a copy of the Defiance College Networking Handbook to get specific set-up and configuration information.

Power to the (notebook) people

Finding an electrical outlet can be a challenge. We've tried to make it easier for you by putting signs on study carrels near an electrical outlet. You will have the best luck finding an outlet along the eastern window wall (yeah, probably not what you expected) or in the top floor lounge area.

Windows Lab

A 21 seat PC computer lab is located inside and to the right of the main entrance to the Library. You will need a Defiance College network login to use the computers. Lab printing options from all workstations are to either a large capacity high speed network laser printer or a color ($0.25 per page) printer. Another workstation with a color scanner with an automatic document feeder is available for use. All computers have the normal suite of lab applications found in other campus computer labs.

Mac Lab

A 20 seat Mac classroom/lab is located on the lower level of the building in room 103. Classes are scheduled in this room during the day. You are free to use the Macs when a class is not scheduled. A sheet listing scheduled classes is posted near the door. You will need a Defiance College network login to use the Macs. Network printing to a laser printer and color printer ($0.25 per page) is available. Use the following steps to print from an Mac the lab.
